So, I've now been working from home for four months, and the verdict is.......it's amazing. This should be more standard practice than it is.

@Neff
Positives:
1. My own toilet, I can't stress that enough.
2. Easier to eat healthy food as I can keep alternatives on hand.
3. Yoga mid day.
4. Since I remote into every meeting i used to have to attend in person, I can keep working during portions that don't apply to me. I'm honestly more productive from home.
Balance:
1. I work regular office hours just like I always have, also, I'm an hourly employee so that helps me keep the cap on things.
2. I have a work laptop and an identical personal laptop that doesn't have anything work related on it so I swap them in the dock at the end of the day for personal use.
@Neff @PipeManMusic Ali Wong has a great piece on wishing she could be a stay at home mom and have her own toilet. I can't find the video clip, but the whole show (Baby Cobra) is worth the watch.
@PipeManMusic Oh man, I remember the joy of having my own private bathroom. It is one of the things I miss most.
My company is looking at increasing some of the WFH capabilities and I'm excited to get some days where I can have uninterrupted, heads down time.
I'm glad it is working well for you! Hopefully more places will adopt a distributed mentality. Not having long commutes can bring so much benefit to overall morale
