Remember when a distributed wireless mesh was a fantasy and not a badly needed bulwark against a dystopian reality?

Hahaha good times

*cries in cyberpunk*

Naughty words. And politics. Show more

They aren’t ‘White Nationalists’. They aren’t ‘Alt-Right’. They are TERRORISTS. Anyone who denies that or won’t come out and say it publicly is COMPLICIT in their crimes. The terrorists aren’t off in the Middle East - THEY ARE HERE, MARCHING DOWN OUR STREETS. WAKE UP!!!

@gameragodzilla @brennen I think the number of people who would do offensive things escalates in parallel with the tendency to normalize hateful behaviour. That Trump got elected, and he's encouraged thuggery, suggests that people are rightfully concerned about it becoming more common.

You must have hope. Radical optimism that if we continue acting that we *are* going to do some good and that the good we do will be worth it. Now is when we step forward and say that we will do no more waiting and hiding. If you, as an individual, join the crowd, that will make a positive impact. And if you keep doing it whenever you can then we *are* going to reach the end of this and make things better. Have faith in the power of working together. Have faith that things can chance

In the interests of accuracy, I think from this point on, I'm going to switch from using 'the President of the United States' to 'the Embarrassment of the United States' instead. Also, 'Embarrassment Trump' instead of 'President Trump'.

FBI warned of white supremacists in law enforcement 10 years ago. Has anything changed?
[October 21, 2016]

– '...the problem of racial bias among police isn’t new. In fact, it’s been a concern of the FBI for at least a decade. Exactly 10 years ago this week, the FBI warned of the potential consequences — including bias — of white supremacist groups infiltrating local and state law enforcement, indicating it was a significant threat to national security.

In the 2006 bulletin, the FBI detailed the threat of white nationalists and skinheads infiltrating police in order to disrupt investigations against fellow members and recruit other supremacists.

.... “There needs to more direct enforcement,” Jones said. “It’s one thing to issue a memo, and another to have continued action after it. There was a warning 10 years ago and nothing else since then.”...'
